From 6 to 282
« on: October 08, 2007, 02:23:04 pm »
Can you believe it? Blood drawn on 8/30 was CD4 6. Started taking Atripla on September 13. Blood drawn again on 10/1, and CD4 count is 282!

The doctor was very excited, but said that I shouldn't be surprised if it back under 200 next time, because I had just been in the hospital for a week, and I had lots of stuff pumping through me.

But I am very optimistic, and i am feeling better ever day.

I was just diagnosed on 8/27. Hope this helps other newbies feel some encouragement.

My CD4 TREBLED in no time on the same combination as you, from 220 to 660 in a matter of a couple of months.

It didnt do back down either, on my last blood draw my CD4 was 880, so there's no reason for you not to hope for the same.

Keep up the good work !!

That's excellent to hear! I know you were very concerned when you first joined the forums. Doesn't it make you feel better just knowing that number is higher?  ;D

How are you doing on your meds? Any side-effects? Taking them ALL, every day?  ;) Stick to it, and I hope to hear that those numbers keep getting better!
