Lab results
« on: January 25, 2007, 03:26:05 pm »
Hello Everyone,

It's been 3 months since I've been on Atripla.  I got my results back today and my VL is 169, which is the same as the last time.  My CD4 is 260, an increase of 20, from 240.  My CD% is 33%. I was hoping for a higher increase in the CD4 count and an undectable VL. Everything else seems normal...the white blood cells are normal, kidney is normal, liver normal, lungs are great, etc.  No std's....so i'm pretty happy with the results.  I also had my doc check on the lymph node problem that I had and she told me it's not a swollen lymph node, but a bacterial infection under my arm.  The infection seems to be going away after 2 weeks, which I am happy about.  Just wanted to share the news with you guys. Hope everyone is well.

Hugs
Justin

That's super Justin, three cheers! That percentage is fantastic, so try not to fret at the absolute. And here's hoping next labs the VL has gone to undetectable.  :) Jay
Her finely-touched spirit had still its fine issues, though they were not widely visible. Her full nature, like that river of which Cyrus broke the strength, spent itself in channels which had no great name on the earth. But the effect of her being on those around her was incalculably diffusive: for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs.

Glad to hear about the node.  That percentage is really good.  Hopefully the rest of your numbers will show the improvement you were hoping for on your next labs.  Let us know how it goes.

Great percentage Justin!  And I think it is common to be hoping for just a bit more of an increase than we get.  But as long as things are moving in the right direction, then I think that is progress.  I'll be hoping that next time you will reach undetectable and get back more of those CD4s.
