Title: BBC in UK wants you...they got me and I need support!
Post by: tigger2376 on February 06, 2007, 09:18:01 pm
BBC2 in uk are doing 2, one hour programmes fronted by stephen fry to be aired in september about HIV. Theyré interested in listening to people talk about their personal experiences, treatment and the very real stigma that HIV still carries. Theyré also looking for brave or insane souls to talk undisguised to camera. I'm doing it,with some trepidation because I can't sit on my arse and moan if I'm not prepared to do something about it(my bad experiences, not my fat bum!). Don't get me wrong, I'm scared shitless because the programme they did before,on bipolar was widely watched and discussed and I'm taking a risk of backlash. HOWEVER I think they are genuine and will make an intelligent, reasoned and balanced 'show'. I've told them about this site and how great you guys have been to me and they are still looking for people to take part. if anyone is interested, please mail me and I'll put you in touch. Its not an exclusively UK thing and they are looking to film fairly swiftly in March,in London,as well as the US,Ugana and South Africa. Its not a paying gig,but a worthwhile one perhaps, would be good if likeminded maybe mad, maybe totally unbothered about publicity people would do it too.
Yours,hopefully,and shaking in my boots!
