Need Pregnancy Advice
« on: May 13, 2015, 11:59:45 pm »
Hi, I'm in a dilemma. First off I've been TTC since 2009 around the time I found out I was positive. Its been very hard with no luck. My current bf has 3 kids of his own and stuck on not wanting anymore. I'm turning 30 in 3months and I dont have any I would like to have one.
Since its very hard I see for me to get pregnant naturally I'm thinking of hanging up the towel and saying forget it and finding a way for me get sterilized.
My heart is heavy on this please help someone anybody.

My choices are:
In Vito fertilization
Sterilization
Sperm Bank (Donated)

Hi MsKandy
Honestly, I don't know what kind of advice you are looking for.

Do you want to have a kid on your own and continue in your relationship even though your partner does not want another kid? Are you willing to leave him to get into another relationship with someone who may want kids?

You say you've been TTC since 2009. Have you seen a fertility specialist? My bf and I were also trying for about a year unsuccessfully and we finally went to a fertility clinic where he was diagnosed with low sperm count and given some supplements. Since then I conceived three times, though unfortunately lost the first two. Now I am in my second trimester.

I am sorry if my post does not provide you the answers you are looking for, but I hope other women here may provide you with more insight.

Best of luck to you.
K.

P/S 29 is not old to have a baby...this will be my first. I will be 37 when he or she arrives.
Take it a day at a time....and be positive about it too!

Thanx, Karry the doctor wants me to get blood work done once my period comes on and after to see whats going on.
Last year I had an ultrasound where they checked my uterus and Fallopian tubes where nothing is wrong.

I only want one but my heart is tired of trying just to get disappointed all over again.

Congrats to you!!

mskandy, keep in mind there is a 50% chance there is a problem with your bf.  This is true even though he's fathered three kids.  Have they tested him?  When we were trying to conceive our second, we had problems and I had all kinds of tests under the sun and even exploratory surgery.  After all that nothing was wrong and we immediately conceived after my hubby started supplements.

And karry, so glad to see your pregnancy is progressing so well!!! Do you know what you're having??

@Mskandy: Never stop trying! I know what you mean when you talk of the disappointments. I have been there...I had all those tests done, and I was at the verge of giving up when it happened. And SweetC is right....chances are, it may be your partner the one with a problem. Mine had a low sperm count and we were skeptical when he was prescribed supplements....but it worked. I went from 0 pregnancies in 3 years to 3 pregnancies in a year once he took his supplements.

@SweetC: This time around I am keeping my fingers crossed. Things are moving well. I have moved into the second trimester! Yupee...just hanging on each day and praying the little one stays put. I am going to be outnumbered at home...its a little boy! Cant wait to meet him.

Karry, congrats on your baby boy!!!  I never understood why MIL's are so evil until I had my little boy.  They totally steal your heart.

Thanx for the advice I did my fertility test the 1st atleast.  Before going to finish the last set. I found out I'm 7 weeks pregnant now by my long time best friend and we are getting married.
I really thought I was never going to be happy due to my status and I see that's a lie.

Thanx again

KARRY, I'm okay for the most part in Aug. I had to do a month worth of iron infusions and my hug isn't as high as they want it it's been a roller coaster. But I feel like a watermelon sometimes and very tired a lot. I try to stay active.

Thanx Alot
