O.K., I'm going to chime in as the resident curmudgeon here.

You get essentially the same view on the Sausalito ferry as you do on these brunch cruises.

At $67.64, you can do a lot better for brunch than the "Hornblower Experience." For that price you can have a fantastic brunch at the Top of the Mark at the Mark Hopkins Hotel on Nob Hill. My nephew treated me to brunch there two weeks ago--prime rib, leg of lamb, shrimp, lobster, oysters, an assortment of smoked fish, omelettes, waffles, great fresh raspberries and blackberries, fresh orange juice, a constantly refilled champagne glass, plus a dessert buffet from heaven.

LOL you are right Allan,

you get more and better food.  The cruise is just convenient to tourists...LOL
My friend was here visiting from Dallas this last weekend and she wanted to go on a boat, so we did the brunch cruise.
The food was OK, but she was happy that the Champagne kept rolling (LUSH), the cruise itself was nice and we were lucky...it was a gorgeous sunny warm morning (in July!!!!).
I will post pics later....as we got to GG bridge you could see the fog on the SF side but the Marin County side of the bridge was nice and sunny....don't you just love the micro weather systems in the bay?

anyway...San Francisco has some of the best restaurants in the country and we have a few locals here so it will not be a problem knowing the best places to eat.

Rich
(who still gets excited about San Francisco's fog) ;D

That sounds like a possibility for lunch.  The food you listed is making me hungry NOW (it is almost time for lunch, though)!  Maybe we should get a list together, if it's not already, of places to eat.  Some nicer higher-end, some economical, etc so those of us who haven't been to SF before will have some guidance.  This trip is gonna be fun, I can tell!
