need help--pls

Hi,

I will request reader's patience as I need to speak my heart out.
In 1995 I'd a condom slip with a CXW and I thght I acquired hiv. 3 yrs later I developed genital warts (from same exposure as three yrs I did not have any other).
I along with my warts developed armpits muscles discomfort and leg pains but I repeatedly tested time and again and was always negative. My warts took 4-5 yrs to go away and not re occur.
Now on march 28th I had one more exposure with protected sex with CSW.
I had some fresh bruises on fingers from 6 hrs before injury and were clotted. I did touch alot of vaginal fluid.

So no condom slippage this time , but I have developed same armpits uneasiness, some joint pains in elbow and fingers within 2 weeks of exposure. Some muscles pain in arms too :-(
On close observations I fear my wart may come back..after being dormant for 7 yrs...
A really strange happenings....AM I at risk of HIV...
If not then with my protected sex with CSW this time and just fingering...how can history repeat itself??

You did not have a risk for hiv infection. Protected intercourse is just that where hiv is concerned - protected. Condoms have been proven to preven hiv transmission.

Fingering is also not a risk for hiv infection, regardless of cuts etc on your fingers. Not one person has ever been infected through fingering and you won't be the first.

Unlike hiv, the virus that causes warts can be spread by simple skin-to-skin contact. Go see a doctor about your warts - we cannot help you with them here.

Keep using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will continue to avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple. Read though all three condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use them with confidence.

I was very reassured by your reply, but today
While shopping for condoms I saw
Lamb skin condom, they had a message
That they don't prevent STD

My condom was given by csw, what if
That was lamb skin, the packing was similar
To what I saw today.
Pls pls reply .

CSW do not use natural condoms. One, they are expensive and two, they are educated and they are out to protect themselves. Three, had it been a natural condom, you would have known by the feel.

I dont want to debate with you all, as I am least knowledgeable about the possibilities.
Its just when I see only three possibilities of HIV transmission from experts I feel happy and sad.
I want you all to be true ALWAYS but the other sites confuses me,

Fresh cut vs stale cut on fingers etc eats my head away,

Are CD4 not present around cuts to heal the cut that in turn gets attacked by HIV?

Is it really really true that bruise and cut has remote HIV chances when contacted with vaginal fluids or semen? Then why do other sites spread the scare? 

Please don't ban me but if someone can put 2+2 together then maybe many people may
not put the repetitive questions again.

my bruises were 6 hrs old, is that fresh bruise or stale...cant imagine how much I want to hear stale right now....

You've got some bits and pieces of science all mixed up. Rather than getting into examining and refuting why each of them are incorrect I will simply say that nothing you have presented in any way put you at risk for HIV transmission. HIV is not transmitted through fingering, through cuts, etc.

Sexually, the ONLY confirmed risk for HIV transmission is via unprotected vaginal and anal INTERCOURSE. Use condoms every time for those activities and you will be well and securely protected from HIV transmission. It's really just that simple.

Now get on with your life.

Hi Andy/Ann and Rod.

Just to share with you, I could not resist testing myself at 5.5 week. It came negative.
I know that you'd mentioned that I was not at risk but this post does not mean to prove/disprove any of your findings. This is for the reader's like me so that if they have some fear about "fingering with a cut"
will and should feel a little better.

Really really appreciate this forum and you all.

sorry to bug you again,

need quick advice , my doc told me
that my body is trying to fight off
hsv1 and I should keep good immunity

I think because of that my immunity
is low as I feel that tingling in legs

anyway , with such an infection, I did
come in contact with some fluid
off from csw breast, it like squish onto
my tounge , I did not take that inside ,
and tried wiping off by hand.

Am I at risk , with a situation where my
body is already fighting a viral infection?

The ways that hiv can and cannot be transmitted does not change due to anything going on in your body, such as fighting off some other virus.

You did NOT have a risk for hiv infection. Hiv isn't transmitted in the way you're worried about.

And please take notice of Rodney's warning.
