Title: worry because of tongue bleeding
Post by: thomasjames on March 18, 2009, 04:25:11 am
I just have few question to ask, i read the welcome page and a lot of information about how hiv is tranmsitted,

I read some of the post ANN, andy and teak wrote but i still can't find explaination and here goes, hiv is not transmitted once outside it's host and that the virus when dried can't infect people and it only take few minute to inactivate because then the virus will dry up.  My question is what about if virus are not dry yet and still wet because i am sure sperm or blood take more than a minute to dry up, will it transmitted if it is still wet?

My second question is, why do i read from some of the doctor that say if virus touches the underwear cloth or towel it quickly dies, it doesnt' matter how long the virus is out of the body as long as the virus touch through the towel or cloth it will no longer transmitted?  does the material combine with the virus kills it? and is this true?

Thank you peopl.e

HIV is not alive. HIV is not self-sustaining on its own. It needs the right conditions for it to stay active and have the ability to replicate. Once outside the host the outer shell of the virus is damaged and inhibits its ability to replicate and infect.

so does that mean when pass trap inside a towel or cloth it will auto kill because it touch some surface that is not the same as the body?

Thomas, we really don't like to get into theoretical conversations here. Nor are we responsible for what may be written on other websites or sources.

Have you had something occur to you which you are specifically concerned about?

And have you read our lesson on Transmission? You get the basics there.

Cheers.

Hey Andy,Ann

Yes, something did happen which makes me worry, i live in SZ where it is not a developed country, on a trip there i rent this hourly hotel, when i finish taking a shower i grab the towel in the washroom and dry my penis... doing this i find out the hotel towel still has sperm that is still wet, i worry the sperm that is still wet touch my foreskin or urthera.  I recheck the towel and i can feel it is fresh and also smell the sperm which means it is not dry yet.  I read in many site including medhelp.org and thebody.com and aidsmeds.com from teak, andy and ann that hiv does not transmitted outside it's host.  I read from rick at the body.com that say hiv only last a couple of minute the most while DR.HHH can't really specially tell how long does hiv stay outside it's host.  I am worry because it must have been at least 5 minute before i use the wet sperm towel to clean my penis, although i feel the virus could not be infected because of the 5 minute i am worry because the sperm was not dry yet?

2) no one has been identified as infected with HIV due to contact with an environmental surface. Additionally, HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions, therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

End of discussion..

Thomas, you're worrying needlessly. HIV is a fragile virus. That cloth could have been dripping with sperm and it still wouldn't have been a risk for transmission. No matter what you may have read elsewhere transmission just doesn't happen in that way.

Take a breath, let your concern go and get on with your life.

And make sure that you always use condoms for vaginal and anal intercourse. Then you will be well protected against HIV transmission.
Title: ANDY, ANN, 4 risk with my risk conclusion, please answer! God bless you!

To Ann and Andy.

I know i know... From what i read in the forum my situation is very low risk, i keep thinking about hiv and what i may have done that may transmitted and here are 4 more situation beside the point i mention earier, if andy or ann could risk my situation and it would be more than anything for me right now especially my wife is having a baby in 4 month and i so so so worry.

I did 2 hiv test which come back negative before i engage in sex with my wife but did 4 things that i am worry about during this month and normally i would have the hiv test done but it only has been less than 2 weeks from my exposure so it greatly ease my mind if andy and ann can give me a risk analyse:

situation 1:  I went to a clean massage place in china, no handjob or oral job was given, as much as i think the massage was clean, my friend told me the massage place is not clean and give handjob to existing customer.  Everything was safe except when i took off my pants there was a small spot of liquid on the pant, i didn't know if it was sperm that was left by an old customer and in china, the area is dirty so i may have wore that underpant with the wet sperm on the pant that may have touch my penis head or my foreskin:

Conclusion:  I believe i am safe from hiv because hiv does not transmitted through clothing or cloth and it must have be at least 5 minute before i wore it so the virus although not dry could probably not live to transmitted hiv to my penis......

- Andy, Ann, am i right on the conclusion!

2nd risk:  My gay friend and i was smoking a cigar, i should be more careful.  When the food come he put down his cigar and after the food i took his cigar and smoke it.  I worry because he told me his lip was bleeding, i worry because i took his cigar and smoke it while the blood was still in the cigar, but agin it must have been 3-5 minute or more before i touch the cigar with my lip.

Conclusion:  I believe i am safe because the blood in the cigar have left the host at least for 3-5 minute and that my lip was not bleeding.

- andy, ann, even if my lip was not bleeding, if blood touch my lip and the lip is not skin but muscous membrane can it transfer hiv to me?

3rd risk:  Went to a porn massage, got a handjob by myself.  Wet sperm on the towel which the girl clean my penis with.

Conclusion: To be safe, i masturbate myself to come, the girl got a towel on my penis to clean my penis, she told me that's the towel she use to clean the previous client, the towel was still wet from previous client sperm, it must have been 7-10 minute before it touch my penis from the previous client.  Again although i think it is safe, what worry me is that the sperm is not yet dry but i think i am safe because it must have been more than 7 minute and i believe HIV would have die EVEN WHEN IT IS NOT ALL DRY YET?  Andy, ANN - am i safe.

4th risk:  My last risk, Went to a massage again, everything was safe, check the towel making sure it is not wet and making sure the girl has no cut whatsoever.

I check her cut again through her hand since she give me a handjob and WHAT SCARE ME I find out she has a cut on her left hand but she only touch my penis with her left hand no more than few sec... I push and rub the cut and no blood come out. i can feel it become red but no blood was out.

Conclusion:  I feel i am safe because i believe if that was a fresh cut there is no way blood will not come out if i rub and squeeze it so the cut must have been a while.
Andy, Ann.  Let's say there was a small cut on her hand, and she touch my penis for few sec, what are my risk, i believe i am safe.

Do I NEED TESTING BASE ON WHAT I SAID OR CAN I FORGET THE WHOLE THING AND HIV?

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Finally no, you do not need to get tested. You had no risk. And you are going to get timed out for 28 days if you keep coming back here with the same non-risk.

You don't have an HIV problem. Period.

Hi Andy

I know I know if i come back with an non hiv issue i will get a hiv timeout for 18 days and that's why i try to be as safe as possible.  SIGHHHHHHH but no matter how safe i am i still got myself into a big dip trouble.

I went to a massage with happy ending, i know everything was safe, i check her elbow just to make sure everything was safe and i check her fingers to make sure nothing goes wrong, BUT STUPIDLY after the handjob I forgot to check her hand... stupid stupid stupid me.

NOW I AM DEAD WORRY, i call her back to check her hand later which has been at least 30 min before i return to check her hand.  AND THERE WAS THIS CUT IN HER HAND, A BIG CUT, so again i try pushing the cut, there was no blood but you can see it was not that old.

The problem is when i cum, she use that hand to cover my hole so that i would not spill everywhere...DAMN ME...  Now i am worry that her cut was fresh enough that there was blood when she use her left hand to cover my hole and that it touch my urthera.... SIGHHHHHHH

The only good thing i can think of is when i check back the cut on her hand there was no blood. but i SO SO SO so worry because i didn't went and check at that moment and went and check 30 minute after... there may be blood and that the blood was seal after i come back.... PLEASE HELP!

OH sorry, i want to state that this one is a bit different because the palm where she cut at went directly cover my urthera... which means direct contact instead of the side.

Thomas,

Once again you're worrying needlessly. You did not have a risk. Cut or no cut, no risk! Hiv is NOT transmitted via masturbation, no matter what spin you can come up with. And yes, I saw your second post on this NO RISK matter.

Keep posting about this latest NO RISK incident and you WILL be given that time out.

Dear Anna, andy:

From reading all the information and from the answer i got from medhep i know i have zero chances or getting hiv from my risk and i come here for extra insurance because i actually have two different answer from two different doctor, medhelp and justanswer.com

Here is my risk:  In the morning i bush my tongue and my tongue starts to bleed, the end of the night which is at least 10 hours after brushing my tongue i went to a massage palour.  I was very drunk but not drunk to the point i did any sex but i did engage in licking the nipple of the girl or sucking the nipple, the problem is i didn't check her nipple if the nipple was bleeding or has cut which i normally will do and this worry me, if in fact the nipple has cut and i lick it, and because my tongue is a musous membrane and blood did come contact with my tongue, how risky am i to come contact with the hiv?

Dr hhh said it is impossible, he said why would you think blood will be at the nipple anyway and just because blood come in contact with the tongue doesn't mean it will transmitted?
Dr Salyia from just answer said, because the tongue is mucous membrane, therefore the risk is there and if there was cut in the nipple, you are at risk?

Andy, anna, you are my final conclusion.... i know i will get test in 3 month but i kind of wanting to put this behind me?

Hi Ann,

Test negative at 7 weeks, hospital don't know what generation test they use, i know 7 weeks is not final!  Live in China and was wondering if they do use old generation test, does the 7 week test also mean a good possiblity i am negative!

I have one more question:

A insect bite me, and as i stratch myself i notice blood was coming out, very small, just a insects bite, although there was blood coming out, although a very small one, does blood that small still a risk or do you need deep cut?

Thomas,

It's no surprise you tested negative - YOU NEVER HAD A RISK!

Your question about insect bites makes no sense. You are not at risk from your own blood.

Hiv is transmitted through unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse. Unless you inject street drugs, that's all you have to worry about when it comes to hiv. All these other situations you bring to us are not risks and are, quite frankly, a waste of time. Keep coming back with this kind of stuff and you'll be given that time out Rodney warned you about.

Dear Ann,

I think you have mistaken me and it does seem like I am asking a stupid question when reading back, I mean to ask?

I read that blood contact can transmit hiv, does a insects bite that bleed small is enough for hiv infect blood to transmitted or do you need big deep cut to do it?

I know 7 weeks is a good indication, but country like china maybe use old type of testing, does the 7 weeks negative still give a very good encouragement of hiv negative even if we use old generation testing or do you have to use new generation

Thomas,

If you had a deep cut and a positive person had a deep cut and you bled into each other's wounds, you might  get infected. Bug bites? NO! And a bug can't infect you with hiv either, even if it bit a positive person before it bit you.

One more time, you have NOT had a risk and you do NOT need to test. You don't have hiv. You don't need further hiv testing. YOU DO NOT HAVE HIV.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and cosistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. IT REALLY IS THAT SIMPLE!!!

Ann
