Anyone using AI?
« on: August 31, 2023, 03:12:05 pm »
Is anyone using AI? How are you finding it?

I logged into Google AI today, but I am not sure I see the benefit, but maybe I am using it wrong.

I am fully calling in my “old man” card on AI. I just don’t really see the need for its application, at least in my day-to-day life.

I do work as an accountant for a Tech Startup where one of our biggest ongoing projects is developing AI that reads mammograms and X-rays to help doctors better diagnose cancer. I commute with one of the lead engineers, from time to time, and he seems so excited about its future potential, but usually it’s just in one ear and out the other for me.

What all can you use google AI for?

Not much. It can chat, answer questions and write stories ECT.

I've been asking it HIV questions for the past hour, it gets 70% wrong and I think it's starting to get paranoid  ;D

Things could be worse. In the real world, my partner needs me to apply heat cream to her back daily, and I keep drawing penises on her back, and she complains.

At least AI doesn't have to endure that.

See AI may mimic us humans, but it’ll never take our souls!!! (Or our juvenile penis art 🤣 )

AI art screws up fingers all the time and it's all just paving the road to the terminator and Skynet.

Today I was reading how inputting strings of certain data appended to actual inputs starts "corrupting" the whole AI/database tech. Google says they have a hand on the issue with Bard; but they're just compensating for some of it and not able to resolve the actual issue. I think that's how Skynet gets all mad about people and starts to hate Sarah Conner.
