Hi,I've been + 20 years,currently CD4 of 340 and off meds.
Just had a chest infection and treated successfully with antibiotics.
But the sputum sample sent off beforehand from the GP came back as having aspergillus in it.
They are re-doing another sample test, but does anyone know what this actually means?
Ive read it is very common in the air as a fungus and many people do have it,but is it only serious when you are ill with it?
thanks so much

hi freako,
I don't have any thing to add regarding aspergillus: but isn't it related to mold?
Have you checked your abode for any?
I think of myself as an excellent housekeeper, and was shocked when my sinuses would act up when I was in the bathroom. The culprit, was growing on the underside of my bath mat!
I did want to welcome you to the forums.
