Recently Diagnosed in HK

Hi everyone, add one more member here(Don't welcome me) , I am 43 years old.

Nov,2017: Urine test by NGO for HIV:negative
12Sep,18 Rapid test of Syphilis n HIV: reactive
20Sep,18: Syphilis:1:64 and start Abx intramuscularly injection to my buttock, very painful and got fever at night .
27Sep,18: 2nd Abx for syphilis and confirmed by WB that I am HIV+
28Sep,18: Went to our integrated infectious clinic for whole check up, CD4: 329 n VL: 650000, Hep ABC:negative, Syphilis : 1:128(post Tx)
16Oct,18: Start Triumeq, no need to take prophylaxis treatment as I didn't come across any OI fortunately, my stage is A2.

I didn't cry since I knew my situation, no need to blame on anyone and even I traced who infected me already and he did the test earlier and got the treatment same as me one month earlier. We still are friends.
I didn't tell anyone except the clinic and NGO that I found for support this group, they are very helpful and encouraging me to visit their activities. I do sports in ball game very frequent so now actually I don't have any weight loss.

I take Triumeq for the first 2 weeks do have some vivid dream and malaise but not severe even though I am still working without sick leave. I am taking at 10pm , it is a good time that I supposed to use it as sleeping pill(self-thinking) and woke up in the morning without tired. Actually, I am happy to wait at 10pm to take the med everyday just feel this is good supplement for me.

I am a positive mind person. God gave me this to run my life , I do appreciated and help our people as much as I can.
We still have many decades to live, be brightful!!

Sorry to hear about the diagnosis, but glad you have started treatment.

Wild dreams at first is pretty common anecdotally. If this is bothersome or does not settle, than keep your doctor posted. perhaps take it in the AM instead of the PM that's what works for me at least.

Thanks Jim,
I don't have anymore wild dreams after first week treatment. Thus, I still prefer to take this pill at night before sleep.
