small change to the way the world processes information
« on: July 10, 2019, 11:17:17 am »
I do not mean to brag or blow my own horn but if I do not tell anyone know would know.

not that this makes any difference in the price of tea in china . But I felt the need to tell this to anyone who might think the things we do and do not notice . can change and influence  the world

logic class thirty years ago I was studying at a university.

The study work I was told should take a minimum of eighty hours to complete.

I did it in about ten hours. How? I gave it some thought and came up with using a character
to represent each type of logic statement.  A shorthand to keep track of the data as given.

One of my fellow students ask how I was going through the data so fast. I showed him my notes. He said that is cheating . I threw the notebook in the trash and said is that better ? the professor asked how was I able to go through the assignment so fast? I told them about my shorthand. The professor may have ran with the idea.  My oldest had taken a logic class at a university now thirty years later . Guess what ? they now use a shorthand like the one I came up with to teach logic?

I may not get credit for the idea or for  developing it or profited from the idea . I did think it up and use it before anyone else. well I was not told how to do this just came up with it on my own because it made sense .

so when others look at my life and think wow that guy has not done anything of importance ? I know in my own way at least one idea that I came up with advanced the way logical data is processed .
this may not be a monumental change to the way the world works but a nudge to help people think more effectively just the same

one unnoticed small step in my life one advancement in the way thoughts are processed and taught .

believe it or not , coincidence  or real results does not matter but it matters to me that some one knows about this minor change in the world

we each in our way move the world we live in . it is my belief that each of us is helping to move the world to a better place.

all the best to you

If that's true, that's a really impressive story. Wish I had something like that to claim as my own invention.
