Title: Ski trip to the French Alps
Post by: Val on December 29, 2006, 09:00:45 am
I still haven't booked my ski trip to Val Thorens,  and was wondering whether the folks who met in Amsterdam in October would be interested in meeting at the Alps for a week or so of white fun! ;)
My choice is Val Thorens because it is the highest ski area in the continent, right there in the middle of the Trois Valées, and there is always enough snow even after the month of Mars.
Besides, the Trois Valées region in France is by far the largest ski area in the world with more than 600km of pistes.  Actually, we could cross over to Switzerland as well, why not?
Anyone interested in this adventure please PM me or just leave a message ---  with the exception of Water Duck, of course, since I doubt very much he has ever put on a pair of ski. ;D

I went to 3 skiing lessons as a child but I didn´t do very well. I can´t play tennis, skate or anything that requires some kind of coordination. But my brother is going there in a few weeks. He has been skiing all over the world, even in Chile. Maybe you could meet there.  ;)

Well blond,

Sex does require a bit of...c-o-o-r-d-i-n-a-t-i-o-n...and you can do it!  ;) :D ;D ::) :o
I could  be your teacher at Val Thorens and I'll betcha that in one or two days you'll be skiing better than our Water Duck --- well, couldn't do any worse, I guess! ::)
Anyway, up to you, sweetheart!  If you don't feel comfortable skiing, though, there are a lot of extra activities in the little village e.g. drinking vin chaud in a hot tub in the middle of nowhere surrounded by glorious mountains...!
I understand your phobia of snow gliding, though!

Hello ,

Sounds like a fantastic trip, especially if you can get a few other members to go along with you. I only went skiing maybe three times, and that was quite a few ago, at several small ski slopes in Western New York state, nothing like the alps !! :) I am better on roller skates !!Plus, I don't know if I could take the cold any more 8)

Have fun/ Whatever you decide---------Ray

Hey, Ray!

It is more or less the same technique for skiing, you know!  I do roller-skate as well and love it just as much.  But, you're right about the cold weather and everything that goes with it.

And so our Blond is on standby for the whole month of January!  Good for you, baby! ;D  :'(

As for me, I won't go back to work until the month of March, so I will take advantage of my extended holiday!  Am thinking about a lil trip to Madrid and Marrakech...We'll see!

Val chérie,

I was a Snowboardinstructor myself for a very long time, but haven't been on a snowvacation since 2001.

Don't know if my knees would hold the pressure...but ValTho is SUPER...

Maybe next year...
Have fun
