Oz & NZ gathering?

Is it possible that we could organise an AM Gathering for Australia, New Zealand and surrounding parts sometime for 2008?

I'm quite sure that a gathering in Sydney, Melbourne or another city of choice could be arranged without too much stress for those concerned

Have a think about it and post your thoughts so we can discuss it.
If you prefer to PM me with any ideas, that would be ok.

I would love an excuse to go to Melbourne or Syndey! I am sure there are enough of us in South/South East Asia in this forum to justify any of our cities as a possible locations, and I would NEVER go near any of those places like Singapore.

How expensive now to fly to Bangkok for you guys?

Airfares inside Oz  and around the Asia /Pacific area are currently at an all time low. This means that it is very affordable almost anywhere in the region.
We would have to consider all peoples circumstances when deciding a suitable venue.

If there was enough interest, maybe a nominated carrier would be the best way.

Thanks Scuddles, let us know once you have any progress. I would love to have an excuse to visit Australia again (though NZ seems a bit too far).

Actually I meant to say that there are NOT enough people from South East/South Asia in this forum to justify having one here at all, and many places are definitely NOT friendly to HIVers, gays and (and in some extreme case) women.

Aussieland seems the safest and fun place to have a small gathering.

Matty the Damned is happy to be part of a Gathering of the Plague Carriers in the southern hemisphere, but he would prefer that it wasn't organised from or even discussed in this forum.
