This is one of my all-time favorite songs by one of my all-time favorite singers Ms. Kathy Mattea. It's a love story but it's also for free spirits. Heard it again recently for first time in years & remembered how much I loved it. Hope some of you do too. Xo

Layla Hathaway "A Song For You".

She has been blessed with beautiful vocal talent and reminds us of her father (Donny Hathaway) in her delivery.

First time posting in here...

I believe it is one of her best songs, and we all can relate to something painful occurring and people telling you to get over it, when you just want to tell them to shut the hell up....

FUCK DONALD TRUMP for using a Queen song to walk onto stage, a platform that opposes same sex marriage, and equal rights for all. A running mate who mangled the biggest outbreak of HIV in decades, and tried to divert HIV funds to conversion therapy.

The irony is incredible. We are the champions indeed. I can only hope he is made to eat those words come election day.

On that note, I'll watch this once again... a video I really hate to see. Freddie very near the end, but he still had a beautiful voice.

The wifey surprised me the other night.  She said we were going out for a little date.  I didn't know where, I was just along for the ride.  It was a rough day at work, and I was beat.  We stopped in to a little dive bar, that had one of my favorite beers on tap, Apt 12.  Then we crossed the street to a little old theater, and before I knew it I was sitting there looking/watching one of my teenage crushes, Belinda Carlisle, belt out the Go Go's classics.

  Such an awesome night.
I despise the song Love is in the Air, you should too.

For the newly diagnosed out there, and those who struggle from time to time, this video may have special meaning to you.  It was an unannounced performance the closed out the 2001 Emmy Awards (just days after the September 11 terrorists attacks in New York and Washington, D.C.) and has since become something of a classic:

The music of Jennifer Warnes and Eva Cassidy soothe me, as well
as country artist Billy Currington, Chris Stapleton and
the late Skeeter Davis do.
Also like the new Stephen Stills and Judy Collins cd
