vegan diets
« on: August 10, 2017, 01:12:27 am »
A plant based diet is not only more sustainable but it is medically and scientifically proven to have a wide range of health benefits directly stemming from cutting out meats and dairy. Call that preaching..I call it facts..I don't care if you eat meat or it but you can't deny the truth. Processed meats and dairy are loaded with antibiotics, hormones, and carcinogens. You can either turn your head or pay attention.

This thread is 2 years old. Who are you talking to?

I eat meats and dairy and do not eat "processed meats and dairy" which are "loaded" with all the crap you mention.

For crissakes my organic swiss eggs from chickens that run around outside cost enough, they better not be loaded with the crap you mention.

All the diary in Switzerland tastes great by the way.  And so does the meat, notably the  pork.

Well now I do agree with you it costs a lot of carbon to raise that animal protein I eat but I figure life is already pretty complicated and I do my bit trying to buy mostly local products including the fruits and vegetables as well, and eating by the seasons.

Plants, Pesticides, chemicals, over priced and overrated

On a serious note, I split the topic from the old thread and if you seriously want to discuss this item and call it medically and scientifically proven give it a link to a medical or scientific published paper to back-up the claim and to than discuss it.

Be respectful  that at the end of the day you may not agree with peoples choices in life, but it is their choice, that does not equal ignoring a truth or a fact even if there is one.

I'm all for people trying vegan diet, but  for me it didn't work I was consistently showing low haemoglobin, B12 and D3.

There is no natural vegan source of B12, so at very least this need supplements.

My diet isn't vegan these days but I won't bore anyone with the details.
