I just had labs drawn yesterday. It is only the second time since I switched to Isentress/Truvada and dropped the statins.
I am not too worried about the CD4s/viral load.
But I do hope my lipids have remained at a normal level or, maybe even dropped a bit further? ::)
I don't think I can take the statins any longer, thanks to my brush with sky-high CPKs. On the other hand, I do have to keep the lipids down if I hope to get the NASH under control and avoid cirrhosis caused by the ongoing inflammation caused by the fat infiltration.
Just so you know, I talked with someone else who reported being diagnosed with NASH just today. Luckily, he is getting his lipids under control, I hope.
So, cross your fingers for me.
HUGS,
Mark

I'll cross my fingers, but those details always confuse me.

Fingers and toes crossed just for good measure Mark!
I hope the numbers come back as you wish - how long do you have to wait for the results?
Best wishes,
Emma (currently killing time in Incheon International (Seoul) awaiting departure to Sydney!

Mark, I'm wishing you the BEST :-* and you were right about the 6 grams of omega 3 fish oil, I'm taking 4 gram per day, my ID doctor say she thinks that's a good dose for me along with the Tricor 145MGs
and my QUINAPRIL 10MG a day , she also stated that the 6 grams of omega 3, is the holy grail ( that's the MAX you can take of that)..........now, if I can only get rid of this visceral-fat-tummy, I still look like a pregnant men, with skinny veinny legs and it's kinda embarrassing, about the only good thing that looks great on me is my biceps and chest, and no matter how many tummy crunches I do, it just won't go away :-[ .I know I cannot fix what the MEDS have done to me thur the yrs. :'( post back on what your lipid levels are, so we can compare them Mark ;)

I know you have been dealing with this a long time and I realize how frustrating it has been for you. If I lived closer I'd make you a yummy low fat, gluten free meal. :P
