Hi, thanks for this forum ! Im a 20 year old guy . 29 days ago i had oral sex with a 30 year old guy. He rimmed me. We sucked each other for half a minute. Then before finishing each other, the guy fingered me deeply and potentially some of his precum was on his finger. I was in a posiyion where i could see everything he does . It was a Hook up and i dont really trust that guy much. He said he's negative and even showed me his Prep that he uses... so im very paranoid and i was very nervous after nut, and thought that that prep wasnt the only medication he takes and i assumed hes taking other drugs to treat hiv... now i know that even if he lied he might be undetectable too ... so afteri panicked i went to the ER and got PEP . The doctor said its low risk ... i took for 23 whole days cause i stopped after i started getting very bad symptoms at day 21(approx.) .
Its been 7 days maybe since the symptoms started, 39° high fever, chills, mild dirrhea , nausea! , headache, low energy , and general ill feeling. No rash no thrush no swollen lymph nodes, no cough
I stopped cause I knew my risk was very low and that i shouldnt have started in the first place because i was very paranoid...i explained to the doctor some of my symptoms and he said the symptoms are from PEP(im not sure tho). now im very concerned i should have stopped and that stopping five days early is gonna make it worse... i went to other doctors in other clinics and some of them didnt even know what PEP was and felt very lonely and had to explain to them that im gay. (Im not in a very friendly country). Two doctors said its a viral infection like the flu or others...
Do you think the sexual act i had is risky ? I didnt have any wounds and he didnt have as well.
I cant sleep now because of a high fever and now on pain killers. It makes me even more anxious. I'm getting tested in a couple of days if the symptoms go away of course. DO YOU think the symptoms are from hiv ? Or are these pep potential sever le side effects?

Receiving a blowjob lacks the conditions required for acquiring HIV; thus, it makes sense that after 40+ years of this pandemic in terms of BJs, there hasn't been a single documented case of HIV transmission to an insertive partner (the person being "sucked"), and you will not be the worlds first.
The same can be said for being rimmed and fingered regardless of what was on his finger.
As for giving a blowjob, the mouth generally lacks a route for HIV to infect, and saliva also neutralises HIV by damaging the receptors needed to infect human cells. Giving a blowjob is a minute HIV risk that it doesn't warrant testing outside the standard yearly screening.
So you had a minute HIV risk that does not even warrant testing, let alone PEP. Move on with your life!

He could have tested the day you met it's totally meaningless to you due to the window period and several other reasons, the same can be said about the PrEP, and that's presuming he even takes it. Pointless.

::) Is irreverent.
Look, you want to reduce your HIV risk? Then use condoms, no exceptions and consider talking to your healthcare provider about taking PrEP yourself. Taking PrEP next to reducing the risk of acquiring HIV during any future exposure might face might also help you calm down a bit about HIV.

Neither.
Here's what you need to know to reduce your HIV risks: Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse correctly and consistently, with no exceptions. Consider talking to your healthcare provider about PrEP as an additional layer of protection against HIV
Keep in mind that some sexual practices described as safe in terms of acquiring HIV still pose a risk for other easier-acquired STIs. So please do get tested at least yearly for STIs, including but not limited to HIV, and more frequently if condomless intercourse occurs.
Also, note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms; testing is the only way to know.
Kind regards
Jim

Asked and answered already.
You didn't need HIV testing over what you posted here, let alone PEP.
Whatever is making you feel unwell has nothing to do with HIV from the concerned activities posted here. Move on with your life!
I hope you feel better soon but please don't post about this again, thank you.
