What you posted here wasn't an HIV risk to you. Move on with your life.
Here's what you need to know to reduce your HIV risks: Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse correctly and consistently, with no exceptions. Consider talking to your healthcare provider about PrEP as an additional layer of protection against HIV
Keep in mind that some sexual practices described as safe in terms of acquiring HIV still pose a risk for other easier-acquired STIs. So please do get tested at least yearly for STIs, including but not limited to HIV, and more frequently if condomless intercourse occurs.
Also, note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms; testing is the only way to know.

Hello...I'm a healthcare worker and just wanted to ask a question. A patient who is a Hep C carrier (undetectable recent viral load) returned an item to the pharmacy and I touched it with my bare hands. I bite my fingers a lot and had a small open cut on my thumb and maybe a tiny cut on my index finger. I noticed on the package that there was some wet blood (unsure if it was my own or the patients) I contacted my employers Occupational exposure department and they said this is a no risk event and nothing needs to be done. Would you concur? I'm just trying to put my mind at ease? Also should I be concerned about HIV?
