Apollo089:
My scores didnt't come back nethier negative or postive, but indeterminate.Could someone please give a quick/ or indept to what this is.Are my odds good of coming back negative after retest.Much thanks
RapidRod:
What was your risk?
Ann:
Apollo,
Going by your thread in the old forum, you were worried about being infected with a lancet?
An indeterminate means just that - indeterminate. It will be checked with further testing, but if being stuck by a lancet is all that you are worried about, you are sure to get a negative result. Sometimes hiv tests come back with indeterminate results and it's not really anything to worry about.

Yeah, but you guys said i was paranoid and everything and when i got my results it came back not negative or postive but indeterminate. Why didnt it come back negative.Whats the odds of me being negative after indeterminate scores.
Could the Virus survive in the lancet
Ann:
Apollo,
The chances of you getting a negative result after that unfortunate indeterminate result is excellent, considering you didn't have a risk of infection in the first place.
You should have discussed all this where you had the test done. Did they re-do the test when they gave you the indeterminate result?
