Obtaining Viraday in Thailand or Malaysia?
« on: November 21, 2012, 09:04:07 am »
Hey all. Currently in Bangkok and about to make my way south towards Malaysia. I have an almost 4 months supply of Viraday (generic Atripla manufactured by Cipla in India...) but want to get an additional 30 day supply before heading into Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Anyone have an experience getting ARVs in Thailand or Malaysia? Or anywhere in Southeast Asia for that matter? If so, what is the cost of Viraday?

A couple months ago I had a seamless and ridiculously easy time getting my current supply of Viraday in India (for only $80 a bottle at that!), so am wondering if it's a similar deal here. I was just in Cambodia for about a month and no pharmacy I visited seemed to have any ARVs... Help/advice? I've read a bit about the Anonymous/Red Cross clinic here in Bangkok and plan to visit it tomorrow so hopefully that will answer some questions. In the meantime, any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks so much!

*Additionally, if anyone has any experience(s) entering Singapore with meds I'd love to hear from you. Slightly apprehensive about crossing that border with meds as I've read they will deny entry to anyone found to be poz.*

You could contact Anonymous Clinic in Bkk, but as per latest info they do not carry this.

Anonymous Clinic do carry Atripla for 2800bht a months You can ask Common-ground, he bought his from there. You will need a prescription to buy ARV in the clinic.

I have no problem entering Singapore or Malaysia with ARV, all are in their original bottle.
