What a fantastic AMG!
« on: August 26, 2011, 05:45:16 pm »
OK, here is my 2¢ worth.

I could not have wished for better, to see such a beautiful city with the wonderful company of friends. The food was great (loved the salmon), the city was very clean for such a large city, and the pan handlers were funny. (One insisted his children were stolen by aliens and he needed money to find them.)

We saw so much: the Space Needle, Science Center, Pike Street Market, the boat tour of Puget Sound, all were great.

Of course, there was the side trip to Mt. Ranier. What a fantastic day that was. Hiking in the clear air along snow packed paths, picnicing on smoked salmon, goat cheeses, fruit and wine, and getting to share it in the company of others who loved it as much as I did and who didn't complain when I had to stop for breathing brakes. I was somewhat fearful that Jody or I  would take a spill over a cliff, because footing was precarious in spots.

Then there was the delightful afternoon Wolfie and I spent checking out all the bars we could find. (Note to self: Starting with martinis at 3 p.m can be dangerous if you plan to stay out much past 10 p.m.)

Then there was the night at The Cuff, where we all cut loose and had a great time. There was copious amounts of dancing and laughing. Mum's the word on what else went down in the night club that night, but clothing was thrown asunder, eyeglasses were broken, and a certain someone who will remain nameless had a lip lock on someone who might have fainted had they been less hardy.

I will say no more, because from here on it got kind of risque. But, let it be said, I believe we all had a glorious time.

Oh, and before this gets too far out of hand, any rumors about myself and a red-headed, 25-year-old marine in a kilt (with nothing underneath) onboard the train were mostly exaggerated.

HUGS,

Mark

You took some excellent pictures Mark.... perhaps waiting till 3:15 would have made a difference regarding those martinis.  At least it was a downhill walk back from the Cuff.

Those poor kids that were abducted by aliens are probably happy to be away from their whacked out parents at this point.  I have a hunch that they will be just fine.  Weasel and I should have given to that cause instead of paying for the cab ride from hell.  We were dumped off near Kansas and had to find our way back to where Mikie, Wolfie, and Ash were leisurly enjoying their pre-coctail cocktails.  We did meet some interesting folks on the streets of Seattle thats for sure.

I'm shameless, I own and enjoyed it all!  My glasses were able to be fixed and the other stuff is barely recognizable, so all is good.   :o

And I agree, 12 hour drinking binges are better left to the youngsters.

Maaaaarrrrrrk! You're such a tease!

I'm glad you all had such a wonderful time. I'm so disappointed that I wasn't able to make it this year - but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for next year.

Bloody hell Carl I had 3 and was called a drunk, but I had such fun kicking my heels up in my Red Leather ankle boots...well it was a leather bar.. ;)

I do remember, after that little Demo they had behind closed doors (and no I didn't go in) I was telling all the guys to save their money and that I would ship them all off some cattle prongs at no cost to them and would probably have the same affect... :D

The next thing I knew the club had closed and Ody was helping me into a Taxi.

Seattle was a blast and loved every minute of it.

He was the hottest thing in Seattle I will say. Shirtless and in tight jeans as well. I guess that actually made the cab ride from hell worth it after all.  I can still see his dreamy smile... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !! and those eyes!!!

Also - the funny thing to me was he mentioned and I will quote him 'people from your generation' (meaning us both) were around when the epidemic started. Would you say he was maybe 23 years old at the most?

The next thing I knew the club had closed and Ody was helping me into a Taxi.

We actually walked back 'down the hill' that night but had to bail out quickly so we could get to the little store around the corner that sold 'naughty' items.  I think we made it there with less than a minute to spare.  A good time was had by all !!
