Home Alone...
« on: May 25, 2010, 08:49:55 pm »

And I miss him already !!  Ed decided to take a little mini vacation, so, as we speak Ed is on an Amtrac train, Heading to Penn Station.

I dropped him off this morning, at the train station in Clearwater, at 9:30  From there, he had to take a bus to Orlando.  I am not quite sure what time the train left Orlando, but he just called a few minutes ago, ( 8:15pm) and he's only in Savannah ,Georgia.  I would have thought he'd be further than that by now.

Anyway, he arrives at Penn Station ( I believe)  at 11:30 tomorrow morning. He's going to get a rental car , and head over To New Jersey. He'll be in Little Ferry, NJ,  and will be travelling to Newark and Jersey city, and Dumont to catch up with some friends.  He also wanted to visit a school he taught at back in 1976.

It's been 18 years since his visit with one friend, so it should be a nice reunion for him and her.

He's planning a trip to the Jersey Shores. He said he's going to be staying with those guys from that show.  :D     LOL

He really needed this little trip.  It's been a tough year for him, with his mother passing. I am sure he will have a great time.  He's planning on spending a couple days in NYC,

Our next vacation is August 1st through the 15th, and I think this time, we're going to take the auto train up north. It's time to visit my sister in New York.

That's nice Ed's able to get away for awhile.  Hopefully you'll be able to find things to do, so you won't miss him too much!

Oh yes !!  We have a living room that could use a coat of paint. The kitchen could use one too. So I think I will make that one of my projects Friday and Saturday !!

Hey Ray

Hope Ed has a wonderful trip, and hope your vacation in August will be fun too!

We were thinking of a beach vacation this year....but this mess in the Gulf has screwed up a lot of people's plans....
