I would like to know if dark black spots all over the skin could be a early sign of hiv. My last exposure was about 3 months ago. They vary in size from 2-3 mm and smaller. mostly on my legs but also some on my arms and trunk. I have also started getting quite a few skin tags. I have lost over 12 lbs since january and I really dont have much appatite. Can anyone tell me if people get these black or dark brown spots on there skin so early on in the infection? Please I am really freaking out any input would be appriciated. Thanks

We don't deal with symptoms here. It's not clear or specific when you say that you last had an exposure about 3 months ago. The only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. I don't know if your "exposure" falls into either of those activities.
There is nothing HIV specific about the "symptoms" you are describing. You should be discussing them with your doctor. We can't diagnose symptoms in this setting. We can evaluate risk behaviors.
If you have had unprotected intercourse then get tested.
Please clarify if I am missing something here.

I have not tested +iv. I was wondering if getting these spots is any early sign of infection. Do people with early ( 3 months) start to get spots on skin, black or brown? I have read so many things on the net it makes your head spin. I am so worried sick. My exposure was 13 weeks ago where I gave oral sex to a guy. It only lasted less than 30 seconds but there was precum. I had a sore inside my cheek where i had bit myself. I understand that oral sex isnt much of a risk but with the sore in my mouth wouldnt the risk go up. I have had a bad stomach since middle January, had some diahhrea, ost over 12 lbs, no appatite, and now seeing so many dark black spots turning up all over my body . mostly on my legs. I also had white tonge for about a month. I took a allisa test at 3 weeks was neg, took a dna rt pcr test with a allisa was neg, took a rapid finger prick test at 9 weeks neg and a rapid finger test at 12 weeks neg. I am worried because I took the rapid test at the local health dept and I am worried they screwed it up or had outdated tests. I have also read about the Clearview Compleate Hiv 1 2 test that not only does it have to be not out dated but the codes must match between the tube and the bottom peice where they stick it into. I am also worried because now I also see spots on my gf and shes got a browm bloch on one arm and a ridish kinda blotch on the other. Could the last 2 rapid tests I took be messed up and wrong. Or could I have some rare starin and its not picking it up. Thanks

Stop surfing the net. It's bad for your health because it will only feed your worst fears to no good purpose.
Your saliva contains over a dozen elements and proteins which very effectively prevent the transmission of viable HIV. Given what you have described of the incident you are worry needlessly. There is no need for HIV testing.
You should be discussing your symptoms with a doctor to find out what the real cause might be. HIV is not your problem.

You have tested conclusively hiv negative, which is no surprise as you did not have a risk to begin with.
If you're worried about your spots, go show them to a doctor. Nobody can diagnose you over the internet and we're not even going to try.
You do not have hiv. Get on with your life.

Thank you for your reaurance. Doesnt the fact that I had an open sore in my mout increase the risk factor? I know it was a low risk but open sore in mouth and with a high rish person. I am so crazy over it evan though I i got a -iv 12 week rapid test. Is the rapid test reliable and conclusive after 12 weeks here in the US? Thanks again

I foorgot to tell you that I have also developed foliculitus on my back and now some on thighs and its been going on for like 3 weeks now.

While the official window period in the US is thirteen weeks, in most of the rest of the world it is twelve weeks. There is no difference.
You are conclusively hiv negative.
And again, we do not discuss symptoms here. Go see your doctor.

Has anyone on here or has anyone ever heard of someone testing negative at 6 months than positive after 6 months while obstaining for sex the whole time? I know the window period is 3 months and someplaces say 6 months including my 2 docctors but I am just curious if there has been any cases of delayed seroconversion beyond 6 months for someone not on chemo or transplant meds. just curious. Thanks

We have already explained to you that 1) you did NOT have a risk to begin with and 2) the window period is three months.
You are conclusively hiv negative. If you feel unwell or are still worried about "black spots", see your doctor. Whatever is going on has NOTHING to do with hiv.
You do not have hiv. If you insist on continuing to post about this NO RISK, CONCLUSIVE NEGATIVE situation, you WILL be given that Time Out you've been warned about. This is your LAST warning!
