Truvada and skin peeling
« on: March 08, 2016, 09:11:42 am »
so I started taking truvada  as prep about 2 months ago, and halfway into the second month, patches of skin on my face randomly start peeling. It leaves painful scabs on my face and they look like they are scarring when they heal. If someone didn't know any better, they would think I was abusing meth. Has anyone else had this issue? Does it eventually stop? Is stopping truvada valid in this case?

You can post in this thread in addition to your thread in Am I infected … this space if for PreP users to ask questions . Please only post in this thread and your other in Am I infected. Please read the welcome thread above the How can I prevent HIV forum for posting guide information.

You really need to see your doctor and see if you are allergic to the Truvada … I cant say if its the med or not but if its that severe I would get it checked out ASAP .
