A question or two from an AMG newbie!
« on: August 03, 2009, 06:14:29 pm »
Hey guys and gals, its Odyssey, and I'm set to join the fun this Thursday via an Amtrak train from Maine. Does anyone know if there is a specific check-in time or place I can put my luggage if I get there before I can get in my room. I can't find it on the hotel website. Also, I have Asperger's Syndrome, which is an autism spectrum disorder, so is there anyone who would be willing to "take me under their wing" so to speak? Thanks, any info and help will be greatly appreciated!

I would imagine check in to be around 2 or 3 and if you get there early, they can hold your luggage, until you check in, so you can enjoy yourself until then.

Check-in time is usually 2pm. I have emailed the hotel everyones aproximate arrival time, so the hotel will do their best to have a room available for you by the time you check in.

Thanks for the kind responses! I'm just kind of nervous because this is my first real trip of any sort of significance alone and Boston is certainly a big city. But I'm comforted by knowing there will be kind people there. :D

Sorry for a real stupid question but I just joined the forum....what is "AMG"?  Is it "AIDS Meds gathering"? I live in Boston...I assume I can just swing by some of the social events at Fritz to chat with some people? Diagnosed last week.....doing real well....will post something in the "Newly Diagnosed Forum" soon.

Hi again

We normally hang around the hotel first thing in the morning before we decide on what to do for the day..I'll be the old lady with blond hair and glasses if that helps.. ;).

Call in anytime you can.

Take care
