This is 179 pages long report on the finding from a survey conducted between 18 October 2017 and 31 January 2018. They had 127 792 respondents from men that have sex with men (MSM) living in 48 countries.

Few things that caught my eye reading the report:

Anxiety and depression

Using PHQ-4, 18% reported at least moderate anxiety/depression in the last two weeks and 8% reported experiencing severe anxiety and depression.

Suicidal ideation – 21% had thought of harming themselves in the past two weeks and 6% thought of harming themselves on at least half of the days during that time.

PEP & PrEP

Only 19.8% already knew about event-based PrEP & 50.7% about PrEP

Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) – Among participants not diagnosed with HIV 3% were currently using PrEP, and two-thirds of these used it daily

Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) – Among participants not diagnosed with HIV 7% had ever tried to get PEP, 5% had ever taken PEP. This means that 28% of those who tried to obtain PEP had not been able to.

HIV & STI's

57.4% already knew about U=U (A person living with HIV who is on effective treatment cannot sexually pass it on)

71.8% knew other STI can be passed on easier than HIV

(Only) 88.6% knew kissing incl. deep kissing does not pass on HIV.

86.5 % knew that you can pick up HIV through your penis while being 'active' in anal or vaginal sex (fucking) without a condom, even if you don’t ejaculate

95.7% knew You can pick up HIV through your rectum or vagina while being 'passive' during sex  (being fucked)
