Hey all - wanted to check in and share my new lab results.  I was very pleasantly shocked with the results...  The doctor set my expectation that 365 was probably as high as I could get to, given where I started.  I was going to be happy with any CD4 results over 300.  On Combivir and Sustiva in case you were wondering.

My best to all of you, thanks for your support and kindness.

Today:

VL: Undetectible  CD4:  444  (Woo hoo!!!)

Last time:

VL:  197  CD4:  365

First labs way back in June of 2006:

VL:  36,000  CD4:  78

Excellent. 

It's a tough climb up from those low numbers and the fact that you did it fairly rapidly is a good thing.

I started out at 22 cd4's in January of 2000 and this is the first year I broke 400.  It took a year of IL-2 just to break 200 and that's something I wouldn't really recommend to anyone as a great way to increase your counts (I felt sicker during each course of IL-2 than I did when I had pneumonia).

It's great that your counts are still climbing and I would remain optimistic that you haven't hit the ceiling yet.

yes, well done!

I started at 78 cd4's as well, and 4%, back in '94 on clinical trials.  It took nearly 3 years to break 200, and things didn't really take off until I switched to Sustiva/Combivir. 

My last few labs have been firmly in the 600's, VL undetectable, % in the very low 20's.

Like libvet, I doubt you've hit the ceiling yet!
