Nice! Bach is my favorite composer, but he is just hard to play. I wish there was any piece I could learn in just two weeks.

Thank you very much Basquo! Autumn Sunset is easy, sounds great and makes people think you really know to play the piano   Truman Sleeps is horribly played by me on the video. I have to record it again (I have already done it twice) but I am not pleased with it. But I agree with you. The video of Diana is the best of all!

I have played that Invention no 8 as well in the past, but I never did a video recording, though I think I have an audio recording somewhere - but it wasn't great.

Yes, the piano was the second most expensive purchase I made at that point after my house. But I don't regret it one bit ! The piano is paid for but the house is not yet, though.

I played some Pleyels in France when I was shopping for a piano, they were nice indeed.

Thanks ! Without the lessons I wouldn't be able to play though. I'm learning both piano and harpsichord from my teacher.

Yes, I have heard about it. Unfortunately, it is a single manual instrument, so I never considered it.
For double manual pieces, such as some of the Goldbergs, I now use a pair of fairly inexpensive Yamaha KX61 keyboards ($199 at guitar center). I have them coupled with a Roland Fantom XR sound module (more expensive - about $1500 new) . I downloaded some harpsichord sounds into it a few years ago that sound very realistic. I never made a video recording with the electronic instruments, though. It's probably about time I do that.

I would love to able to play like that.  I think it is such a gift to be able to make music, especially when it comes to somebody like Bach.

Love to listen to his music on the piano, although he didn't compose on it, it just sounds so beautiful.

Hi Carousel! Anyone can play like that. In fact my playing is not good at all and I am just a beginner. I am not gifted either. You only need to practice and a little discipline. Good players achieve an expression and taste to play every piece that I donīt have.

Madbrain, I prefer the harpsichord than the piano. But they are hard to find, super-expensive, you have to tune them yourself (because they lose their tune really fast) and there are very little harpsichord teachers. Have you ever played a real one? How is the touch and feeling?

Yes, I play a harpsichord at my teacher almost every week. He has a nice French double.
I don't have the room in my house to have both a small grand piano and a harpsichord. And indeed the harpsichords require much more maintenance.  I find the electronic instruments adequate replacements for the harpsichord. I guess it's about time I make a video with it.
