claiming in an interview with ABC News that America has to be made “AIDS-free again,” apparently taking a page from his running mate Donald Trump’s catchy presidential campaign slogan. Pence argued that the only way to “cleanse” America from HIV and AIDS is to “put HIV-positive people through conversion therapy,” after which they would no longer be homosexuals, given that the disease would, according to the Vice Presidential candidate’s own vast medical experience, be “incapable of surviving” in a straight host.

Is this actually real or some 'joke' by someone? There isn't a link to the interview in the article which raises my suspicions. Anyone holding these views would have to be brainless, and would be political suicide for someone running for any form of office surely?

It seems that website is a parody news site, so suspect it is supposed to be a humorous take on Pence's well publicised bigoted views.

Not remotely funny of course, and quite inflammatory - there needs to be some element of 'humour' to be funny I would have said

Not saying Pence isn't a bigot, but it doesn't appear this report is remotely true

Glad it`s not the case but i`ve been following that nameless constituency for some time now and they are more than capable of the darkest reactionary fantasy.
