Been a while since I posted so hope everyone is doing well & hanging in good?

All my latest blood test from my ID appointment a few weeks ago have been good. Still UD, and liver, kidney, cholesterol & whatever else they check is all normal.

My CD4 is 297 (304 previous check up) so floating about the same level. This is good of course since I started off at 22 almost 3 years ago. If it rises more great and if it does not so be it, I don't worry anymore.

I've had a few difference vaccinations since last year pneumonia, Hep B etc. The Hep B has not kicked in fully they say, so I need another booster shop later this year, which will be the second time getting a booster.

Overall, since my original DX and being sick n weak 3 years ago, now I am fit and in good shape for my age and run a few times a week & do exercise etc. I'll be 50 later this year, and I'd say in better shape than most guys my age.

As people told me back when I came on this forum as a newbie DX with an advanced case back in May 2018, hiv is not something I think about much other than the occasional day here n there. I take my 2 pills in the morning when I get up and that is it, job done, nothing else I can do. In fact there is an advantage in a way, as I was the sort of person who never go to a doctor ever, now I am getting checked & bloods 4 times a year which is great (I'd never have gone to doctors otherwise).

I do hope medical research will perfect long acting injectable treatment or implants or similar. I do really like the idea of a shot every 6 months in place of pills. Maybe in the next 10 years we will have this?
