Condom Slipped, Possible Exposure

Hello everyone!

I'm a 27-year-old who've been in the past year or so regularly seeing a fellow with whom I've been having protected anal and unprotected oral sex as a top always; he claims he is HIV negative. On one occasion three months or so ago, he reported having some blood in his saliva after a rather rough session of oral sex. I've been also simultaneously been a fellow with whom I've only had unprotected oral sex in both roles, as well as some rubbing of naked glandes against one another's recta.

I generally have a terrible immune system and am susceptible to colds and all kinds of infections; just last year I contracted a vicious Epstein-Barr, to which I reacted with a high fever, malaise, tonsillitis, and headache (I tested negative for HIV six months afterwards). In the last three months I caught two one-day fevers with low temperatures, the one three weeks ago and the other just this week (both were also had by friends and family), I caught two viral epidemics which gave me sore throat (also had by family and friends) but no fever, I had a bout of diarrhea last weak, itching on hands and arms without spots, and a rash on the neck which was most likely caused by rough collars (a few itching patches appeared right where my collar touched the skin and they passed within two days, but the wholearea is still slightly red).

I am prone to hypochondria, and I should hate to waste anybody's time, but was just wondering whether:

1. I have any chances of having contracted HIV during this oral blood-contaminated sex act, or whether these symptoms appear at all like seroconversion symptoms;

2. Also, is it possible for me to have a mild seroconversion in view of my weak immune system (my tonsils have always been a pain) and the way I handled Epstein-Barr?

You have not had a risk for HIV .

Getting a blowjob is not a risk for HIV .
The risk associated with oral sex is from giving oral sex to man with a high HIV viral load while you suffer significant open wounds in your mouth and that is not your situation .

There have been no fewer than three separate serodiscordant couples studies (where one person is HIV positive, the other negative.) These couples were tracked for three. five and ten years. The couples used condoms for penetrative vaginal and anal sex, but NO BARRIER at all for oral sex. Any kind of oral sex.These studies yielded NO infections.


2. Also, is it possible for me to have a mild seroconversion in view of my weak immune system (my tonsils have always been a pain) and the way I handled Epstein-Barr?

We do not discuss symptoms and nothing you mention is specific to HIV or would make it more likely for you to have been infected . Your immune health is not a factor for HIV risk in any of the things you are concerned with . 

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Although you did not have a risk and do not need to test for this specific incident , anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Hullo everyone.

I had sex some twenty days ago with this Russian fellow who was very keen on my banging him bare, which I was rather keen to avoid. Alas, I am not sure I did. As I was finishing him off (he was on his back with legs up whilst I fucked him on the side) I withdrew to change my position to upwards, when I realised that the condom was not on my cock; most likely it slipped off when I withdrew. The ring with half of the condom was hanging from his anus, leaking, and there was a long straight line of precum and condom moisture on his buttock, which presumably gushed forth from the condom when my cock fell out. As soon as I saw this I went to the lavatory and pissed and then washed my cockhead. But I am terrified that the condom may have slipped before I withdrew and that I may have dipped him bareback. I cannot honestly remember whether it fell out at any point since I entered him with my condom still on and fucked him on the side. I figure that since the condom ring was still outside, still leaking, and since the moist on his buttock was not crushed by my pounding, I probably only lost the condom when I withdrew, and never entered him bare.

You did not have a risk, because the condom came off as you withdrew your cock.  If it had fallen off, during intercourse, you would have been fishing the condom out of the bottom, but since the ring was on the exterior, it means it came off, as you withdrew.

You did the right thing using condoms for penetrative sex.

I agree with Joe. You didn't have a risk when the condom slipped off as you withdrew and you do not need to test over this specific situation. Just get into the habit of getting a full sexual health check up at least once a year, like Jeff mentioned earlier this year.
