So Green Tea Looks Like a Goer
« on: March 29, 2007, 01:56:31 pm »
Hey!

Pretty stunning results in this invitro study - showing that the concentrations likely to be acheived in the blood after drinking one cup of green tea inhibit gp120 binding to CD4 by upto 40%.

Might all be taking a green tea pill soon!

They have been saying this for a few years now.

Sure - but this is the first time (to my knowledge) that they've isolated the flavanoid and worked out the mechanism of action... We could just take a pill with the flavinoid in.

I bet it's cheaper than maraviroc!

I think that greentea is rather good for everything in general....
& guys when we speak about green tea, we don't mean lipton / comercial types.. i suggest that you go and buy it from chinese / Japanese shops.. or oxfam :)))

since a year, i stopped cofe and replaced by greantea, so far my CD4 are increasing, & my viral load is decreasing, after one year of infection, without treatment. I don't say this is due to grean tea.. but maybe who know!!

we can all try.. after all its not requesting any special efforts to do

regards

Milker.

You can get decaf green tea now. I'm sat here with mine at the moment. It's done by clipper. I'm not sure which is the best to buy for the amount of flavinoids. A friend of mine who imports it from China recommended "gunpowder green tea", which is very strong.
