Made an appt for intake at the ASO
« on: December 04, 2006, 05:18:03 pm »
I finally really researched what we had here in MN. It seeems there is a great program that offers meals for nutrition at home if you are sick and everyday there are time for massages and alternative healing methods.
I figure it will help me to see others with this disease and how they are coping in daily life.

Making use of the services in your community is a good start.  It may even lead to your getting behind the scenes since all A.S.O.'s survive on their volunteers, whatever it is that they feel ready to offer.  Win
Winthrop Smith has published three collections of poetry: Ghetto: From The First Five; The Weigh-In: Collected Poems; Skin Check: New York Poems.  The last was published in December 2006.  He has a work-in-progress underway titled Starting Positions.

Hey "trying"  :) - It sounds like a good ASO!! Glad for you. I agree with Win about the human factor - Often it's more than meets the eye (in a good way of course). It's great they're offering alternative healing and you're open-minded enough to look into all that! Hey free alternative healing services? hehe That's all you gotta say to me LOL  :D   ;D  ;D  If they offer psychological services, then even better.

Hey Tryingforhope!

My goodness, I agree with Alex here. A very resourceful ASO in your area. It sounds quite interesting. Please do keep us posted on your experiences there. It sounds like there is a lot of help there as well.

Happy Holidays!
