Happy Harley - New Job

After several years out of work, I have finally managed my career change, that I've been striving for.

I used to do manual work for about 20 years and then the back got pretty awful. Silly me got all depressed from the constant pain and being out of work so I stopped my ART and got very ill.

I started back on ART at the end of 2011, did a couple of courses (and still studying a third one part time) at TAFE which is Australia's equivalent of community college. I volunteered for 15 months doing admin work and finally cracked the new job this Monday.

So now I'm a receptionist/Admin worker in an accountants' office. The boss is nice and it's a nice team. Full time work is going to be a bit of a shock to the system but I'm ready for it. Now to save and save for my eventual retirement.

I'm a happy Harley!

Congratulations !
I hope this all works out for you, sounds like you've got it nailed.
I did manual wortk all my life , I know what it does to your body.
Glad you got back on the bus and hope your back is feeling better.

@Harleymc - CONGRATS!! You will love being in the office, especially if you are working with a team that you enjoy. Good Luck with the future and saving all that full-time pay! <3 Keep up with your meds and be a Healthy Harley too! ;)

After 4 days I feel like my brain is about to explode. My short term memory is 120% full.
I can tell it will be a good job, but it will always keep me on my toes.

Thanks all for the support and the congratulations.
It's a seriously hard job, balancing lots of priorities, keeping the balls all in the air at the same time is tricky. I'm now 7 weeks in and still learning.

I'm exhausted most evenings, Peter (my FWB/FB) is annoyed that my energy levels in the sack have slumped. Stuff it! He can go top now and then. <Evil Grin>
