Erm, is that "hear hear!"?  ;D
Her finely-touched spirit had still its fine issues, though they were not widely visible. Her full nature, like that river of which Cyrus broke the strength, spent itself in channels which had no great name on the earth. But the effect of her being on those around her was incalculably diffusive: for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs.

Hey Hal,

Actually I have no problem with polls, just when they are purported to provide some type of Delphic vision.  Polls can be constructed to say whatever you want them to convey and there is an old adage in advertising/marketing that says: "Give me the numbers and tell me what you want them to say."

I may however change my vote to a Czech, just to be fair.

I love those jokes, use them so often it drives my straight friends crazy; I laugh so hard, not sure why I think they're so funny. "Liquor? I hardly even know her!"

I voted for Tuesday only but maybe I'll change it to What about a Czech as well.

Hello Hal, it is Eldon. It is not necessary to do a poll with every single thread. It is only necessary when you are trying to gain an understanding about a certain issue and to find out what the general population thinks.

IMHO, polls usually lead to poll trolls and blame flames

We used to say (and I still do sometimes) "Liquor in the front, poker in the rear" and "Rectum, hell, it nearly killed him"
