I think some other meds are affected too and I read that you can apply if you have bone density loss too.
Pray God you can cope

Did you have to go on dialysis?  So far my numbers were above normal but last time I went I was told it was stage 3 kidney damage which is scary, but I'm kind of in denial, the doctor told me he would let me know if my numbers went up and he didn't so I am crossing my fingers.

Hi,..

A quick summary:

"Rutherford alleges that Gilead withheld the newer version — tenofovir alafenamide fumarate (TAF) — for nearly a decade so it could extend its patents and that by doing so, Gilead exposed people to high risks of kidney and bone problems.

Reading of this I’m getting a little worried: I’m on generic Complera (truvada+Rilpivirine). I know Truvada can “potentially” cause bones and kidneys issue in the long term but is the phenomenon so widely diffused in the PLHIV (or people who take PrEP)? Is there any solid scientific base for this (epidemiology studies with reported nr of cases etc)?

Some say it may even be some subtle “marketing” operation (ref. Descovy)?

Although the effects are real, they are uncommon.  Your Doctor should be testing your blood on a regular basis. If diagnosed early the damage is reversible.
