Living With HIV / Re: Want to get plastic surgery.

You live here, so I suppose you see a doctor for HIV treatment. You could ask him/her for advise on how to deal with this and referrals.
Or you could contact Pulse or Glove (HIV) clinics and ask them how to go about it.
Or you could disclose your status to health professionals.

Hey everyone,

I don't know if anyone has an answer to this but I don't know where else to ask. I currently live in Thailand and am considering getting plastic surgery. The last time I was here I wanted to get Lasik and they said they'll test for HIV and I backed out. I'm very scared of being exposed here and being ostracized. I went to Korea last year and told them and pretty much every clinic said no.

Does anyone know of clinics here that are okay operating on HIV patients? I'm afraid to ask and tell them my status. Or anyone have any experience with this?

Thank you!

Ojo.

I (male) had protected vaginal sex with a female sex worker. The issue is that 12 hours prior to the intercourse, when shaving, I made a cut/nick with my razor. It did bleed a bit but completely stopped within 3-5 minutes.

12 hours later, I had protected vaginal intercourse, and I'm quite positive the condom did not cover that cut which, at this point, was not bleeding at all but was (and still visible). I simply was no longer thinking about that cut (stupid me).

Highly doubtful the part with the cut made it inside the vagina, but that part (with the cut) could very well had touched the vulva (labias).

For what it's worth, the sex worker went through a thorough inspection of my penis (watching closely, sniffing) prior to the ''getting down to business''. No unprotected sex (oral or vaginal) whatsoever.

Assuming she is HIV positive, any input on my risk level is appreciated. Thanks.

ojo.          Hello Jim!!…I bet lots of newbies didn’t even heard about all these class of medication and how different they attack the virus, this is the reason of the so called meds “ cocktail” that I guess we don’t use it anymore. Everything is just in one pill… I guess it is important to mention that, even though it’s been 40 years off medication research, we are still juicing some of all those old medication’s specially, I think they all this one that I can think of, lamivudina (3Tc), tenofovir TDF and ritonavir as booster for other antiretrovirus…good job Michael and Jim… keep up the good work… hugs
