Started a new job!
« on: July 08, 2021, 05:14:20 pm »
So finally did it, left my old job and started a new one this week.

Not sure if it's going to work out but after 10 years in the old job I needed to try something new. It's strange and unnerving being in a new company and knowing nothing but I'm sure that will pass.

Hope everyone else is doing okay?

Good Luck Jim,..with the new job !! Nothing wrong, with trying something new. throughout my adult working career, until I retired in 2013, I made probably 3 major job changes, and total changes, in what I was doing. I never had any regrets. Each time I made a change, it worked out very well for me.

GOOD LUCK  8)

Good luck with your new job Jim. I’m sure it will go great! The good news is Ireland is recovering, especially around the tech companies so there’s loads of jobs now & loads more opening up.

 ;D

Grand as I told them politely to fuck off and left.

It's okay though as I don't regret leaving my old job, it was time to go and when I heard the BS in the new job I knew staying would make me unhappy so I put an end to it.

Ill find something new sooner or later that suits me better.

Sounds like something that I would do as well haha. Having a good work environment is crucial to your mental health.
Also,I still hope there's an espresso bar to your new workplace lol🤣

I had a job years ago, in a machine shop.  I worked on a turret lathe/ Milling machine. The two owners were walking around with stop watches, and timing everyone on how long they were taking per part. This place had about 50 employees.

Well...It pissed a lot of employees off. This was a union shop.

Well at lunch time everyone else in the shop decided not to come back to work, after lunch, because of the stopwatch fiasco, and until they were told that they would not be timed again.

I worked for another two weeks after that incident, conditions just worsened, I told the owner to  f-Off, and walked out.

I had another job 2 days later in another machine shop. And it was sooo much better, and had better pay.
