WTF criminal transmission drama in Central Switzerland

Some 54 year old swiss guy made the headlines again today when he barricaded himself in his apartment, armed and threatening to shoot. Police blocked off the neighbourhood.  He's been on trial since last week and didn't want go to court today, his first required presence, if I understand correctly.  Alternatively described as a "healer", acupuncturist, and music teacher the supposed story --- between 2001 and 2005 he took HIV+ blood from one of his music students, and serially drugged other students and injected them with the poz blood. He's accused of 16 transmissions. But other news outlets say 19 transmission.  If I understand correctly, he's not HIV+.

All the TV and newspaper refer repeatedly to "the AIDS virus" (le virus du sida). And that he infected these people with "AIDS". 

Some even say he "injected them with AIDS".   

Haven't heard HIV (VHI) one damn time in all these reports.

I shit you not.

Anyhoo, he claims he's innocent and has barricaded himself in his apartment.
