Life's a Funny Thing Sometimes...
« on: July 12, 2006, 08:37:22 pm »
Today I stand on the other side of what was for me MIDNIGHT.   The past two years has been froth with challenges and disasters and for me to be able to stand here today (Yes in Alabama) and tell you that I have not only survived but I have come out on the other side, surprises me more than I can say.

I lost David in Oct 2004, I attempted suicide on New Years Eve 2005, I contracted Steven-Johnson's Syndrome March 2005, lost everything in Hurricane Katrina Sept 2005 and now in July 2006 I find myself living in my own home again, my disability finally won, and my lawsuit against Pharm. company settled and life once again holds some fascination.

I feel very blessed and very fortunate to have stumbled across this forum family when I did back in March of 2005.  Going to Montreal in August is like a dream come true...meeting many of you who were instrumental in keeping me on an even keel.

I know the future holds more challenges for me...as it does for all of us who live with HIV.  Today I feel a sense of hope and promise for the future and I pray I can find a direction for my activism.  For those of you who supported me during the worse period of my life....I THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.

David, your strength and perserverance is something to be commended.  Not many people could have weathered the storms that you have been through.  I'm very happy for you that things are taking a turn for the better.  Wishing you much more happiness and success in all that comes your way in the future.  If you can beat all these things, you can do anything.

All my love,

Trish :-* :)
