Hiya,

Glad to hear things are going well and that you are still UD.

I've had bad cholesterol, it's perfectly fine nowadays, for me it had to do with a few lifestyle changes. That's not going to work for everyone though. Was this the only time it's been slightly high? Prehaps, talk to your doctor and recheck your cholesterol in a few months.

Sorry to hear your terrified. Not much I can say other than if you go to see the doctor do the basics like wearing a mask, don't touch your face, wash your hands, keep your distance when possible.

Best, Jim

This is really something to discuss with your doctor.

Basics things would be to eat a healthy diet, be more active so physical activity on most days of the week, maintain a healthy weight, get enough sleep and quit bad habits like smoking or drinking etc.

That's up to you if you want to wait for the covid curve to reduce before seeing the doctor.

Hi, diet and exercise is the best option. My cholesterol was high for years and it got my numbers down. I have always exercised and my cholesterol was always high. I had to change to HIIT to get the numbers down. Try increased or more intense cardio. I use to have numbers up to 265, now I can stay below 200. I would try the natural approach before more drugs.

High Intensity Interval Training. Basically bursts of maximum effort with active test. An example would be a short sprint followed by a gentle jog. Repeat that. I do bodyweight routines, butler's, jumping Jack's etc. Maximum effort with a short rest. It worked for me. Also as it is intense you can reduce the overall time you take. I got my cholesterol and fasting glucose down into normal range with it.

If this is your one and only Cholesterol result that has been slightly out of the reference range, I would not over-react to it.  It could be a transient increase or even a lab error.  It is rarely necessary to take action based off a single lab result.

Of course, eating a healthy diet and exercise is always good, regardless of cholesterol level.
