Eva Green is great.  Timothy Dalton was a shock because old, like me I guess. Haven't seen him in awhile so the image had stopped in time.

But I just choked on dessert laughing at the outrageously campy Egyptian expert at the British Museum - Ferdinand Lyle (played by Simon Russell Beale).  Its to die for.

Crisp script and creepy monsters.  If only Josh Hartnett had some more fire in him.  Maybe that's to come.  The character starts as a wasted soul but the promise is he gets his mojo back.

There are some hotties. Young Dr. Frankenstein has a beautiful cleft chin and nervous ambitious eyes.  His creation looks like a young Jimmy Somerville and theres some sort of homoerotic bromance energy.

And then Dorian Gray makes his glorious entrance, played by that dish Reeve Carney who was Spiderman on Broadway. He has a fantastic butt, profile, and especially a very very fine nose, which gives Tom Mison's a run for the money....

totally agree!

how creepy all these characters are - much less the situations. I don't know which was worse - the seance or the sex!

I hope Proteus is given new life. He and Victor clearly had a thing going on.

So classy and so wonderfully trashy.
I recommend this to fans of True Blood and gothic costume dramas.  Gore. Monsters. Sex. Disease.  Egyptian curses like old timey black and white movies, etc.

Ep 3 was too slow in my opinion - and NO Dorian.   :-\  Josh Hartnett? - meh... I'd like to see Dr. Frankenstein screwing.  :o
