Title: Condom Slipped halfway up during intercourse!
Post by: chooselife on September 02, 2006, 12:04:43 pm
Hi I just came back home from a trip where I had a one night stand with girl I met.

During Vaginal intercourse I noticed that my condom slipped about half way up! So afraid of catching anything I pulled my penis out and thrown away the condom, and told her to give me a hand job.

So she puts some lubricant on my penis and started giving me a hand job till I came and she continued a few seconds after.

Then I took some tissues and wiped my self clean and got to the shower.

Now back home 2 days later I have a weird feeling in the tip of my penis. Some-kind of itching? or something.

I am very scared that I might have got something from that girl, I noticed she had some vaginal discharge after the sex.

How long should I wait to get a HIV test? And is doing a regular blood test enough to tell if I am HIV neg/pos?

Thanx

You don't need an HIV test, you were protected.

I know but I am concerned that maybe since my condom slipped about halfway up, maybe some of her vaginal liquid was still on the lower part of my penis when she gave me a hand job with the lubricant.

So I am afraid that some of the vaginal liquid got to the tip of my penis during the hand job??

You are not going to get infected, even if she used her own juices to give you a handjob. There is not a risk.

Thanx, but still for my own peace I would like to make a test.

I am still kinda worried because I remembered she had a small scratch on one of her fingers that was not bleeding but had a Red/Pink color when she gave me the hand job.

if you wanted to take the test then wait 13 weeks past your exposure to get an accurate result.

Choose,

If you are a sexually active adult and you've never had a full sexual health care check up, then by all means, test. However, you do not need to test over this specific incident, you only need to test because it's what responsible adults do at least once a year or more often if you're very active. As long as you always use condoms you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return negative results. You need to test for ALL the sexually transmitted infections because all of the others are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus that is successfully transmitted INSIDE the human body. The important thing in your situation is that the head of your penis was protected while you were INSIDE her. What happened afterwards doesn't really matter as hiv will not be transmitted in the circumstances you described.

Getting a handjob will absolutely NOT result in hiv infection, no matter what sort of spin you can think of to put on it. Condoms are very effective when it comes to hiv prevention, so you had no risk either way.

A "regular blood test" will not reveal your hiv status. Only an hiv antibody test will do that. You need to go to a sexual health care clinic and get a full screening. You should be doing this at least once a year, as I mentioned before.

If you always use condoms, you can fully expect the hiv portion of your full screening to return negative results.

Hi everyone.

3 months have passed since that day.

The only thing I feel is a slight pinch or mild pressure in the middle of my right arm for a few seconds that I get a couple of times a day for a few months now, I don't know if this is related to HIV?

I have not lost any weight nor got fever.

When do symptoms usually start to show?

Thanx

choose,

As I've already told you, you weren't at risk for hiv infection.

Symptoms or even the lack of symptoms mean nothing when it comes to hiv infection. Many people experience nothing at all while others end up in hospital. If symptoms do happen, they usually happen between two and four weeks after infection, they come on all at once and they go all at once and they do not usually last for more than two weeks.

A pinched feeling in your arm has nothing to do with hiv.

As already noted, you did not have a risk for hiv infection in what you brought to this forum and you only need testing if it is part of a regular, routine sexual health care check up that all sexually active adults should be having once or twice a year anyway.

Please re-read your whole thread. You have been told all of this before and none of our answers are going to change.

Thanx Ann,
but could the strange sensation that I get in my arm (pinch/mild pressure) be related to lymph nodes?

choose,

That's doubtful. However, no one could possibly give you a diagnosis as to what is going on with your arm over the internet. If it's bothering you, see your doctor.

You have not had a risk of hiv infection and it's time for you to move on.

It has been more than 6 months now since the day of that incident, I went to a doctor to let him checkout the strange sensation that I get a couple of times a day in my arms (pinch/mild pressure).

The doctor first thought it would be caused from the muscles so he gave me some medication and exercises to se if they would hurt, but it didnt so he thought if its not the muscles then it must be the nerves in my arm, so he gives me some vitamin B tablets that I would take for a month.

Tomorrow It will be a month later and I will finish taking the tablets but I still get that weird sensation in my arm not just that but the weird feeling on the tip of my penis that I had for a week after the incident has returned six months later, its some-kind of itch or something.

Having no cure and no cause for so many months is what keeps worrying me.

I think I will go to my doctor tomorrow and tell him before starting any new treatments I would like to get a HIV test.

But how long does it need for the HIV test results to show? And are there any pre results that can be given within hours of testing?

Thanx

You did not have a risk for HIV infection.  You need to keep working with your Dr. to determine what OTHER medical issues you could possibly be dealing with.

I know, but the thing that keeps me worrying sometimes is that I remember having lubricant on my penis and on the condom, so basically on the inner side and outer side of the condom, I guess that was what made it slip.

So when the condom slipped about halfway up, the condom was a bit wide and loose on the upper side of my penis.

So my question is this, is it possible for the virus to travel within the lubricant on my penis to the tip of its head?

No it is NOT possible.  The virus does not have an internal GPS system that can lead it to the tip of your penis.  You were protected.  End of story.  Really.

Thanx ACinKC, I hope I'm just worrying too much, but I will probably go and test tomorrow just to know for sure.

The only time I had fever/stomachache was about four and a half months after that incident, and it was of food poisoning because I accidentally ate a little piece of under cocked chicken. So it might have been the "Salmonella" in the under cooked chicken that caused the fever/ stomachache that I had for a week.

I know that those HIV tests take about 2 weeks to come back with a result but, I would like to know if there is an early result that they can get me within hours and then get the 100% result  2 weeks afterwards?

Thanx

Ask your doctor what kind of tests he can give you.  And he will tell you how long they take to get back.  It will depend on what he has in the office I would think.

Some take a few days to a couple of weeks.  Some can be done in the office.  Ask your Dr. which ones he has.

Choose

There is no way to get preliminary results.  You could try to find a testing facility that offers a "rapid HIV test." You can get the results in as little as 20-30 minutes.  I would suggest explaining your fears to your doctor and getting his/her take on the situation. It seems to me that you need some face to face counseling on this issue. Test for your peace of mind, however after collecting your negative results, if you continue to obsess over this no risk situation ask your doctor for the name of a professional counselor who can help you work through these fears.

You don't want to have to deal with these feelings every time you have protected sex.

Hi everybody I finally tested six months after the incident and got an HIV I & HIV II Negative result.

However I'm still having these mild pressure/itch on my arm & arm-pit and on the tip of my penis.

Is it possible for a "Negative" result to be false? or is it more likely that "Positive" results can be false?

Reasons I am afraid of for being positive are

*Girl I slept with had Vaginal discharge after sex (is that an HIV  related symptom)??
*Condom slipped up almost to the bottom side of my penis's head and was wide and loose.
*Still having these mild pressure/itch on my arm & arm-pit and on the tip of my penis which I hope are not HIV  related symptoms.
*Reading somewhere that HIV test results can be false.

No matter what is wrong with the girl even if she is HIV positive. You have conclusively tested HIV negative. So that you understand, "YOU DON'T HAVE HIV."

choose,

No, none of the symptoms you report are related to hiv and why would they be? You are conclusively hiv negative. The window period is only THREE months, not six. You are hiv negative, period, end of story.

Take your symptoms to your doctor. Nobody can diagnose your ills over the internet - not even us.
