Time for Facial touchup...
« on: July 24, 2008, 07:56:48 pm »
I had  a series of three Sculptra treatments in late 2005 and was satisfied with the results but my face has started to slowly "deflate" over the past year, so I am going back to the dermatologist next week. I want to ask him about Radiesse as an option since I have heard that it is (slightly) longer lasting with more immediate effects. Any one have experience with Radiesse ( or perhaps both?)? And does Radiesse offer any patient assistance program, as Sculptra does?....Thanks....

Hey guy .. I  have had many Sculptra treatments and am participating in a 5 yr study...into the 3rd year now.....my original Dr for the study opted out after the second yr.....he said results were not good enough or last long enough so he was  going to other products...Radiesse and a permanent filler based on PMMA  ( Arteffil) ...I am still with the study because I get free treatments from a very expensive Plastic Surgeon for a couple more years.....but I will not continue when I have to pay.......

I hope you take a good look at other products  so far my experience with Sculptra  is that I need some touch up at least once a year, and that seems to be the overall results that my Derm Dr was getting....so he wont offer it any more.

Thanks, Nick...maybe this is strange, but one of the things I liked about Sculptra was that it wasn't permanent, so if my lipo reversed at some future point there wouldn't be anything to remove...but that is probably wishful thinking...anyway I will definitely ask about all my options on Monday....
