I Hope our dear Andy Velez is doing well
« on: November 02, 2012, 02:47:14 pm »
I meant to post a day or so ago but I do hope our wonderful and invaluable Andy Velez is doing well.  Manhattan was divided into two parts, upper Manhattan has power and south of 38th st., no power.  There have been some issues as to be expected in a large city so I do hope Andy, his neighbors and loved ones are all right.

Jody, Andy has been posting regularly this week so he must have power and is fine. I still can't believe the nightmare going on up there. It seems to worsen every day at least in the news that surfaces, more bodies being found, etc. It's amazing that half of them were along the south shore of Staten Island. And I can't believe that Bloomberg is still having the NYC marathon this weekend.

NBC just announced that Bloomberg is canceling the marathon, so that's good for the city.

Hi All,

On Wednesday I made my way out to Bklyn and have been staying with one of my sons. No damage at my apt., just the disorentation of no power, cell phone working only sporadically and general weirdness from a vanished life as we knew it, at least for now.

Miss my home and will be glad to get back there, maybe this weekend. In the meantime good to be back on line here on Eastern Pkwy.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Thanks, Jody.

Andy, glad you found refuge at your son's place in the great borough of Brooklyn.  There has been so much sadness and tragedy here in New York and New Jersey, in other eastern states and in the Caribbean as well, loss of life and limb and home upon home destroyed, a real tearjerker.

Anyway glad you are safe and sound and AIDSMEDS suffered no losses.
