Hi Panda,

My cholesterol and triglycerides levels were quite high on Kaletra despite the use of a statin. After I switched to Reyataz /Truvada, they went down so dramatically that my doc ended the statin immediately. I had my blood test about a month after switching.   I am now statin free and my lipid levels are still good.  To make sure they do  stay  in the normal range ,I take 1000mg of fish oil three times a day.

good luck

Hey Panda,

You may see a difference within a month after changing meds. A lot will depend on your body, your eating habits and what med you change to, in this case, Reyataz.

Are you going to boost the Reyataz, which is the recommended method? If so, it may take longer for your lipids to come down because of the Norvir you are using to boost the Reyataz.

Hope your switch works great for you.

HUGS,

Mark
