I like him a lot.  I remember his speeches about the healthcare bill.  We are spending way too much money on defense.  I don't think a country can maintain that kind of spending and not eventually fall apart.  We don't need to be in Iraq and we don't need to be in Afghanistan.  Al Queda is in Pakistan, Africa, and right here.  Bin Ladin isn't even believed to be in Afghanistan.  We didn't commit the proper amount of troops there from the beginning, so we rely on the drones that kill so many innocent people.  We are creating more terrorists.

Bin Laden said his goal was to lure us into wars in the middle east where we deplete our resources---lives and money.  It was a Republican president, Isenhower, who warned us about the military industrial complex.  He saw what was happening with corporations.  So many jobs depend on us buying more jets and missiles.  This is why the defense companies spread jobs out across most every state.  I think for one aircraft, parts are made in like 35 states.  I believe it is that jet/helicopter that kept crashing.

Our founders believed we should mind our own business and only fight if we are attacked.  Well, Bush let 9/11 happen as the excuse that we were attacked.  To point out, I'm not one of those people who believe they planned 9/11.  However, they ignored all the reports about an attack coming.  I would not put it past Cheney to ignore the reports and allow it to happen.  As we all know, Cheney was the president.  I think Dubbya was clueless.

It would be nice if support for this could build.  It appeals to both the left and right.

The country would be much better off.
