Am I first infected through this act ? Oral
« on: August 04, 2008, 05:16:30 pm »
My story, about 8 weeks ago I had received a oral sex from a Mexican CSW, she was from Nogalas, Mexico. Few days later, I had symptoms of Urinary Tract and was given  some medicine to take care of it.

Fast forward to 4 weeks later after the exposure, I started having symptoms of ear pain, muscle pain, mouth sores, fatigue, and loose stool, itchy skin, lymph node pain in the neck, groin and the armpit.

8 weeks later I came down to a full blown cold, I had ear infection, loose stool, itchy skin,  brown rash on the skins, and mouth ulcer that will take weeks to heal, runny nose, ear pain, watery eyes

The rash was diagnosis as  a fungal infection ( tinea ) by my doctor.

I still feel sick with a crazy noise in the stomach with weakness, pain on the both side of rib cage, brown rash on the skin, fatigue, and lymph node pain.

Was I at risk for HIV ? Was this ARS  ?

Should I worry about HIV ?

I am very concern about this matter.

Thank you
Lund

No Lund, you don't need to be worried about HIV from this incident.

You won't catch HIV because you received a blow-job, the virus just isn't transmitted that way. Whatever is making you feel ill, it's not HIV.

Please take the time to read our Welcome Thread and follow the links to our Lessons to learn more about how HIV is and is not transmitted.

How did I get a fungal infection ?

I thought only people who get that are with low immune system.

No, people with healthy immune systems get fungal infections all the time. Tinea is a very common fungal infection of the skin in healthy people. It causes athletes' foot amongst other things. It's also easily treated.

You were not at risk of HIV infection.

I may have few more questions.

Right know it seems like I am suffering from Allergies and my symptoms match Hay fever. Is Hay Fever related to HIV  or part of ARS ?

Recent blood work showed:

Lympocytes ( 37 ) - usually they are 45 - 50 on  my cbc report.

Monocyte: (11) - usually they are 4 and 5 on my normal cbc... That is pretty high

and MPV ( 7.5) - pretty low..

Are these indicating HIV infection ?

Please help, just very concern, I hate the feeling I am having right now...Anyone had Hay Fever type of symptoms before ?

I am just wondering, since all this happen at the same time.

Hay fever is related to hay fever. It's a very common allergic condition and has nothing to do with HIV. If you have the symptoms of hay fever then chances are you have hay fever.

The blood test results you cite here similarly have nothing to do with HIV infection.

Simply put, getting a head job is not a risk for HIV transmission. You do not need to be tested because you received a headjob.

I C.

HIV doesn't really care how it enters the body, it just does based on risk of the activities ?

so, unprotected sex would be higher risk and protected would be low risk... ?

I also assume that symptoms don't really mean anything right ?

So, itching on the skin, white bumps, lymph node pain, joint pain, allergies, etc... mean nothing ... ?

I've read monocytes are high due to viral infection...

P.S. How long should you wait from exposure prior to taking Hep B & C test.

I think I see what the problem is.

unprotected sex would be higher risk and protected would be low risk... ?

Unprotected sex is a risk for HIV transmission. Protected sex (using a condom) is no risk, not low risk.

Getting a blow-job, whether protected or otherwise, is not a risk for HIV transmission either.

Lund, you were not at risk. You don't have HIV.

Lund,

If you are feeling ill you should see your doctor. We cannot diagnose your symptoms over the internet. Whatever is making you ill, it isn't HIV as you were not at risk.

Hey, I was just reading Doc Bob and Doc edward on medhelp and the body, they say that there is a chance of contracting HIV through Oral sex, how come many of you on the board says no risk ?

Also, my T-Cells are dropping quick.

Do you know what can cause my lymphocytes to down quick:

June 1st = 61%
July 1st = 51%
Aug 1st = 37 %

It seems like my lymph are dropping quick.  I never had lymps of 37 before.

Lund,

If you feel unwell, see a doctor. Whatever is going on has nothing to do with your blowjob.

Getting a blowjob is not a risk for hiv infection. Not one person had ever been infected this way and you won't be the first.

If you cannot bring yourself to believe us, test at the three month point and collect your negative result. HOWEVER, you will NOT be permitted to use this website to continually wring your hands over a no-risk blowjob. If you've read our forum posting guidelines in the Welcome Thread like you're supposed to, you will have read the following:

Quote
Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Please consider yourself warned.

That's not cool Anna, why because I keep asking and curious about HIV.. I mean sure if anyone was in my situation would be worried..

Had Fungal Infection, Rash, Low Lymphocytes, Fever, and much more...

But, that is fine if you don't want me asking stuff.

Lund,

Symptoms or even the lack of symptoms mean nothing when it comes to hiv infection. The ONLY way to diagnose hiv is through testing.

However, as getting a blowjob is not a risk for hiv infection, you don't need to test over a blowjob.

If you've ever had unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse, then you have had a risk and you do need to test. But not over a blowjob.

So, Anna, in the entire history of last 30 years, no one have become infected through Blow jOb ? how come the other experts such as Dr. Bob and Dr. Edward mention that blow job is a risk ?

No one in the board has turned positive after a bj ?

Dr. Hook doesn't say that at all. He and Dr. HHH don't recommend testing for oral sex. Before you quote someone make sure you get your information correct. "I do not think you need testing. "

Doesn't matter what symptoms you have or had. You did not have a risk of contracting HIV.
