This has been going around for a while now and am not sure why more people haven't caught on that this isn't true.  Any month that has 31 days where the 1st falls on a Friday will have 5 Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

well, this is why I have you all here.....to point these things out to me... :D

actually, this was a mis-post...I thought I was replying to the sender as it was a chain mail, which I never respond or send on, and the one time I do..I had just finished working out in the sun, and taken my meds..:D

this was what I had intended to post:

A cowboy from Texas, hauling his horse in a trailer to a rodeo, gets
pulled over by an Oklahoma State Trooper for speeding. The trooper
started to lecture the cowboy about his speeding and in general began to
throw his weight around to try to make the cowboy feel uncomfortable.

Finally, the trooper got around to writing out the ticket. As he was
doing that, he kept swatting at some flies that were persistently
buzzing around his head.

The cowboy says, "Y'all havin' a problem with them circle flies?"

The trooper stopped writing the ticket and said, "Well, yeah, if that's
what they're called. But I've never heard of circle flies."

"Well, Sir," the cowboy replies, "Circle flies hang around ranches.
They're called circle flies because they're almost always found circling
around the back end of a horse."

The trooper says, "Oh," and goes back to writing the ticket. A moment
later he stops and asks, "Are you callin' me a horse's a_s?"

"No, Sir," the cowboy replies, "I have too much respect for law
enforcement to call y'all a horse's a_s."

"That's a good thing," the trooper says and goes back to writing the
ticket.

After a long pause, the cowboy in his best Texas drawl says, "Hard to
fool them flies though!"

I had a job once when I got paid bi-weekly and those "3 paycheck" months really came in handy.

I stopped counting on those extra paychecks as I must have been on a borderline salary that five dollars would put me in a different tax bracket and they would take out in taxes the extra I had made and my take home pay would be LESS than a normal month..... :-\

Now thats a raw deal.

Some european countries have a 13th salary - automatic extra paycheck in December.  I guess they divide a yearly figure by 13, but you get used to your monthly and then that extra one is a joy.  Some German friends get a vacation payment, on top of it all. How's that for socialism!
