Hi guys. A week ago I visited a strip bar and the girl inserted her fingers into her vagina then placed them in my mouth during a dance. I realise how foolish I was and I am terrified that I have contracted HIV. I have noticed a yellow tongue and signs of white on my tongue but managed to scrape it off. I don't think that any oral thrush linked to HIV would be so quick - would it? I remember her biting my lip 10 mins earlier but I don't think she cut it as I couldnt taste blood and there was no mark in the morning. Is it likely that HIV could be transmitted from her fingers with saliva to the open air then my mouth? I would really appreciate a response as this is tearing me apart. How much vaginal fluid would be required to cause danger? Thank you for such a well informed forum.

Forgot to mention that I have previously had a white build up on my tongue way before any possible incidents.

HIV is a fragile virus and is not transmitted in the manner you are concerned about. If your symptoms continue you should discuss them with your doctor to determine the real cause.
Sexually the only confirmed risks for transmitting HIV sexually are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as condoms are used consistently and properly for those activities you will be well protected.
There is no need for testing nor for further concern on your part about HIV this time.

Thank you Rod. Your name is very apt with your rapid reply. Do you think I should get tested? Can't help but think that I may be the unlucky 1/1000000000 chance of contracting HIV this way. I've probably picked up something else; however I can't help but worry as I have done a lot of googling and each search links the tongue issue with HIV even though there are 300 other possible causes. Sorry for taking up forum space, especially when I consider what others may be going through. Mike

No you do not need to test for HIV.

There's really no way to quantify an event that has never been firmly documented to have happened, so your statistic, even though you made it up, is still inaccurate.
Thing is, you had zero risk. None for HIV at all. It's scientifically impossible for HIV to A) exist in transmissible form in the fluids your stripper touched, B) survive intact the trip to her finger and then your mouth, C) survive the hostile environment of your mouth (which includes over a dozen elements identified to render HIV inert) and D) locate a receptive cell, of which which the mouth has extremely few.
No risk. None. Nada. Zero.
Wear a condom for penetrative vaginal and anal sex and don't share IV drug needles. That pretty much sums up the entire HIV prevention strategy.

You do NOT need to test for hiv specifically over this NO RISK stripper event.
However, if you are a sexually active adult, you should be testing at least once or twice a year as a matter of routine.
Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:
You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.
To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.
Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.
ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST SPECIFICALLY OVER THIS INCIDENT, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.
If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.
Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!
